Human thread dead-lock

I just witnessed a human thread-deadlock. The elevators in our building are notoriously slow. Returning from lunch, our CEO and a young woman, 26 maybe, were waiting for the elevator in front of me. The elevator finally arrived. The young woman politely waited for the CEO to get on, while the CEO politely waited for the young woman to get on-ladies first, of course. I politely waited behind them both. The elevator left, empty, but deeply moved by our politeness, I hope.
